It may mean your medical or some other documents are getting ready to expire. Try to email the embassy about this and I pray they answer you.

Dear carolyn my medical was axpired in april and my passport valid till 2018 and i check my ds230 expiring in 2015 may...

thank u all my friends... they kept my passport and congratulated and said that u will get ur passport in a week bt when i came out from embassy and i cheked online its AP till now?? is it normal?

Yes! It's normal!! It should stay that way for just a day or two and then it will say Visa Issued.

Alien Registration Number Changed: 12/24/2013

Wait... wait... wait... wait...

Asked Congressman to send service request to USCIS: 7/1/2014

USCIS received Congressman's inquiry: 7/3/2014

Notification via USCIS Website of NOA2 - Approved: 7/5/2014

NOA2: 6/25/2014 - We found out later it had been approved (but not posted) before congressional inquiry received.

Shipped to Embassy: 7/17/2014

Received by Embassy: 7/21/2014 - Status: READY

Packet 3.5: 7/24/2014

Packet 3.5 Sent: 8/7/2014 (We had delays because of civil unrest in Pakistan)

Embassy Receive: 8/21/2014 (Again delays due to civil unrest)

Receive Appointment Letter/Interview Date: 8/27/2014 (interview date in just 9 days)!

Medical Exam: 8/29/2014 (Yikes! The whole thing has now been postponed for 2 months for TB testing)

Interview Date: Originally 9/5/2014 - Now Postponed for at least two months

TB Test Results: 10/15/2014 - came back 18 days early! And she's negative!

Interview Rescheduled 10/17/2014: (embassy moving at lightning speed)!

New Interview Date: 10/29/2014 APPROVED!!!

CEAC Updates to AP: 11/13/2014

CEAC Updates to ISSUED!! 11/14/2014

Visa In-Hand: 11/24/2014

Arrival in USA: 11/27/2014 -- 11 MONTHS, 1 WEEK, 4 DAYS AFTER NOA1

MARRIED: 11/30/2014 !!!

By the Grace of Allah, We are out of this nightmare! We got the passport with visa this Saturday.

I am posting this message for all of you who get really caught with updates and not having updates.

Interview: August, 2013

6 updates after the interview.

No updates till March 20th.. 3 or 4 updates than it stopped.

No updates till August, 2014..

End of August it update to expiring soon. (medical and Ds 260 expired)

Email embassy.. Changed to Ap again..

No update till September 19th.

September 19th: Call for Medical and Ds 260

September 20th: Submitted DS 260 by email.

Oct 2: Call for finger print and oath

Oct 22: Finger Print (12:30pm appointment but didn't get out from embassy till 4pm)

October 23: Issued!!

October 24: Passport in Hand!! ALLHUMDULLILAH!!

So my brother and sisters.. Continue to do DUA for yourself and others.. Don't get caught up with Updates.. It happens when Allah desires..

It was long 14 months of AP!! 20 months since we submitted I 130!!!

Dear dont worry you are very lucky man of them who getting visa after interview without administrative processing i seen a lot of people who got visa with in one week of interview so you are one of them as well......congrats bro be happy with partner always
