So sad to hear cases of some of you guys in AP for so long. Nevertheless, Allah subhanautala tests us for our patience and I sincerely hope that not only we pass this test with flying colors that in the end its good for us in the life and the hereafter.

Is not there a legal route one can take for APs going on for so long ? Did the petitioner for any of the long awaiting APs sought any professional legal help?

I read somewhere that issuing a CR1 visa is totally depend on the officer who issued the visa, people still get this type of visa even though they been married more then two years.

You dont need a polio certificate, they have polio stations set up at the airports, they give you a vaccination to drink there at the airport.

I think it would be easier to get your wife to pay the greencard in the US because the money has to be drawn out from US bank. Have your wife do it and it has to be done BEFORE you leave pakistan. The actual green card can take a few weeks to come in the mail after you arrive. Have you applied for your SSN yet or will that be done once you get to US?

Sajidia my husband was issued IR-1 visa. What I have been told by others is when you are in immigration at the airport in the USA give them the DO NOT OPEN package and tell them you have been married for 5 years. You should then get your 10 year green card in the mail. If the 10 year green card does not arrive and it's only a 2 year one then you can talk to USCIS in the United States they will tell you what to do to get the correct card.

Do not wait on the embassy to correct it. I would book my flight and take care of it at the airport or through USCIS while you are living with your wife.
