I believe what US Canadian Desi is referring to is the USCIS reciept number. Usually USCIS has those prefixes to their receipt numbers. Source below:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

"The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS. It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC)."

ok got it, thanks for the info fauji18

Dear Ms. Jacome,

Thank you for your inquiry below.

We are sending this case in for a review to ascertain the situation on the administrative processing. As soon as this review is done we may be able to have applicant Hussain’s visa issued.

We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if we can provide any further assistance.

i returned to Karachi. went to passport office submitted application on rush basis i was supposed to get my passport in 4 days.

due to their slow service i ended up getting my passport in 10 days including weekend, a day after submission of my passport at

Amex, i got a call from embassy again that they are waiting for my passport. on Monday i sent my passport but since then no update

Please guys pray for me. i pray for all of them who are stuck in admin process.

Brother, I gut feeling about your case soon you will get goodam news, really. By the way on Monday my wife sent her medical, picture and copy of submission. Let's see, when they call. I wish we know why our cases were put in AP in the first place?

I see no justification what so ever the way AP is done. If Embassy notify the applicant and beneficiary after the interview the reason of AP. I see some justification but the way AP is being dome, doesn't make any sense. App ko baata ra ha houn, bohat jaldi aap ko KOHSKHABRI mill nay wali hay. May ray TOTAY (Parrot) nay app key fall nekali hay....LOL.

thnx to u n ur parrot..btw i feel cursed :-( i wanted to see this AP thing end ASAP so that i could start my life with my wife n son..to be honest this AP and US visa thing caused lot of pain, i m totally derailed at the moment, as i am going thru this past many many years...they must have some rules changed to notify specifically whats wrong with ones case and how they are resolving it..and how can the applicant can help them ..one more thing on my recent inquiry they replied that the case is currently undergoing departmental processing..not sure how many depts are there...

i want to know if anyone ever before received this response from embassy please

I can't believe embassy response my email 7 am in morning today

here is email please i do not understand it

Thank you for your email,

As per our available record, this visa case is still part of a departmental (integral) administrative process, (regrettably, not waive-able or expedite-able). Though, we certainly understand the importance of family reunion, and also aware about the frustration often caused by the delay.

Unfortunately, we are unable to predict the amount of time this process will require. However, it is imperative to mention that as soon as this process is concluded, we will move forward regarding this case, and will contact accordingly.

Sincerely,

IV Unit, Consular Section,

U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.
