Hello Analyst

Yesterday I sent email to embassy to inform them DS260 was completed online April 30, 2014 and included confirmation number in email. Also I wrote your caller from embassy told my wife to bring medical and 2 pictures with you. When called to come in 2nd time. I wrote in email medical and pictures ready and give her date for appearing.

Today I received reply to my email to send DS260 confirmation letter as an attachment with email. Also send medical and 2 pictures via approved courier to embassy. See embassy caller said bring these documents when called to appear. Embassy email is asking to send via courier.

Sam and Waq stated in one of the post it may very well happen, embassy just stamp the visa and send her passport. My wife may not have to go to embassy 2nd time. Embassy did finger printing and took oath for signature on DS230. Don't you think, if my wife receives visa without re-appearing. It will be an ICE on the cake.....LOL. Daire aaiey ..... dowroust aaiey.

Congratulation for updates in your case. Brother poura AP HAATHI neekal ga ya hay. Bas aab bohat logon kay case may AP HAATHI key DOUM aariey hoiey hay. Inshallah Allah AP HAATHI key DOUM be bohat jaldi neekal jaiey gi.

yes at the time of DS230 oath/finger prints were already done..i think follow precise instructions and send them all via approved courier also send the print out of the email along...may i ask which email address you used to send inquiry to embassy? by the sound of it bhabi visa is ready to be issued..congratulations in advance but again slight time left as soon as you will submit documents i think it will take max 2 weeks

Analyst, for corresponding with Islamabad US Embassy I always used this link http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/acs_contactus/send-us-a-message.html.

Yesterday I called my wife and definitely on Monday Medical, 2 pictures, DS260 confirmation letter and a copy of medical letter given to her by approved medical center will send by American Express.

Doctor gave her a letter and told my wife to present this letter along with her visa paper at port of entry. It sound and smells sweet in the air ....LOL that our AP nightmare is about to end. let's see, INSHA-ALLAH we will find out soon the outcome.

I hope those applicant are in AP for the longest should receive visa ASAP. I applied/submitted papers in May 2012. Now our case has completed two years in visa processing. Someone wrote on this blog that after calling NVC, it seems updates in their case started frequently. I think there is some merits to it.

When I called NVC a month ago, I said to lady. Have I committed crime marrying a Pakistani girl or violated any US law? Why I am being treated like a criminal? I said to here even criminals in US know what is being investigated about their case. I said to her it would be nice, if embassy tell visa applicant about the problem or what is being investigated. I am sure applicant will try to help Embassy to resolve the issue.

By the way in which US city you will migrating to?

Well I received quite the surprise this morning when the Dept of Homeland Security showed up on my doorstep unannounced at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning. An immigration officier came to my home and asked to come in so he could ask me some questions. He was very nice and very respectful to me. I answered all of his questions and thankfully my father was here this morning to help me with some yard work. The officer also asked him some questions as well. All this time I thought that immigration was investigating my husband...well turns out...they were investigating me (the USC). He even asked to see my bedroom (thank Allah I had made my bed that morning) and closet. He told me that they were looking for evidence to see if another man was living with me. Well I had our wedding collage above my bed and I had just cleaned out my closet a couple of months ago because I thought my husband was getting his visa with the series of updates he received. He even went so far as to take photographs of my bedroom and closet.

I suppose they did the surprise visit to try to catch me in a lie. Well...as he could see for himself...nothing to hide...no lies have been told. We really do just love each other.

My case was updated on 9th May 2014.

Here I give you an example before telling my opinion. When I was 10 years old, my father brought me a computer which was very new in pakistan. I used to play computer video games on that. Once I was playing chess with the computer, my father came and he taught me one thing which changed my thinking pattern. My father said, dont forget that your target is QUEEN. Its only queen that you have to target to reach check mate.

So I am not bothered by case updates because in my opinion case updating has nothing to do with my life. I am only concerned with the visa approval. For that, I only pray to Allah because Allah is supreme authority and he is owner of my fate. When US Embassy would find that its time to give me the visa so that I can be with my wife, I would get a visa. Otherwise such tidbits are of no value. Alhamdolillah for everything Allah SWT has given to me. I pray that soon we all get a visa and we live peacefully with our spouses.

Janet,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. The Dept of Homeland Security can show up at the Petitioners home any time during the visa process. Many times cases take so long in AP because the embassy is doing background checks on the Petitioner and the Beneficiary. I know of a case where the visa was denied because of what information the embassy found on the Petitioner. Do not worry it will take time but I believe once your case is sent back to the embassy your husband will get his visa.

They are doing the same with all couples these days in which one is american and the other is Paki...their field investigation team visited us last month as well and asked different questions from people who had no concern with us ever...lol... They showed my photo to different people and asked them silly questions about us which they were surprised what to say...it looked like they forced the people to say what they wanted i.e., they asked the people do they know me and i am married or single...one guy said yes he is married with an american woman lets go I take u to his home where they are living together...They got surprised and said how you know (bcoz they had no idea she is living in Paki for last 7 months whereas we informed them several times through emails which they never replied) ..that neighbor started laughing and said lets go i show you reality for what you came here...they left him and moved to other shops and market place and again started asking such questions. Then proceeded to District Muncipility Office to know the guy who did our Nikah..it was looking like they wanted to get some wrong information from unknown people to spoil our case...but when they found nothing wrong they left...next day thay called that Nikah guy along with Director of Muncipility Deptt. with all official docs. to US Embassy ISB to confirm if our marriage is registered and bonafide and it really made us pissed off because NVC already verified and confirmed our marriage to be true and on basis of our marriage certificate my wife got Dubai & Paki visas on husband's sponsorship as well and NVC accepted it and then i was interviewed so there is no need to play with Marriage Certificate after 10 months passed in AP.

By the way we informed Embassy several times about our address but they never replied our mails and we felt like they dont need it perhaps or they might updated their record silently but their team went to wrong address where we are not residing now so it means US Embassy is doing nothing with our emails even if we update them with our information...

Apart of that they dont know that an american citizen is living in Pakistan who informed them several times through mail & email bcoz their phones are not accessible but they dont care and when their investigation team got shocked to know she is here, our ex-neighbors got surprised too...

Besides, same day when their field investigation team visited our old residence, they checked my wife's e-mail and went through it all bcoz she got an email from the adminitrator that her e-mail was checked by Sumone for some reason...They did it perhaps ecause she is in Paki else they might have visited her in USA if she had been there like they visited your residence. But every thing stopped after that and now atleast they know that we are living together which is enough to prove our relation more bonafide, real and stronger than their all documents.

But the way they are playing with people's life is not good...Just pray everyone come out of this AP soon.

Being honest at this point after confirming them waiver approval the real work on your visa case started so it might take 6-12 months as they also need your fresh medical and other updated docs so patience and keep track and do regular follow ups hopefully it will be done soon. Did you get a waiver approoval notification please send them as an attachment...thing is if ones case has any kind of red flags the case goes to an extended delay compared to a crystal clear case so just fight on...

Same happened to us. Yahoo informed us that someone from USA with un identifiable IP login in my wife's email account. Yahoo disabled my wife email account. After replying to security questions, Yahoo activated her account. Then after about month, same happened to my email account.

I am sure it had to do with my wife's IV.

wow. Well at least you know they are actively working on your case. I remember when my husband had his interview in Amman(I was there with him) they asked me if my ex husband still received mail at my residence in the US, which he did receive a few random things, one being the cable/internet bill that I never changed out of his name because my ex happened to work for the cable company and I was still getting free cable and internet, about $200 a month free. I was honest and told them I would be crazy not to take free internet and cable for free as it saved me quite a bit of money. My ex never changed it because it was his way of giving a little extra money that I could use towards my children's child support. The consulate knew my ex was still getting that bill at the house, they were just looking for me to be honest. I didn't have anything to hide, my divorce to my ex husband was over, but he was and still is very involved in my children's lives. We had an amicable divorce and we still keep it that amicable for the sake of the kids. He was a terrible husband, but was and still is a great dad. The consulate and USCIS can find out anything with a little research. As long as people are honest. My new husband has been in the US for about a year and a half now and at the end of this week we leave to go to Amman to visit his family for the first time since he's been here, we are bringing the kids with us.

It's a good sign that they are doing field investigations in your case, you have nothing to hide and now they they saw it with their own eyes. Like you, before my husband arrived in the US, I cleaned out a closet for him and bought him some clothes and other things that would be waiting for him when he arrived. Had they done a field investigation at my house they would have seen all the things hanging in the closet waiting for hubby. My husband did have about 9 or 10 weeks of AP, nothing compared to many here in this thread, but I will never forget that feeling of not knowing, the anxiety, it's difficult. Hopefully soon background check will be done and soon, your AP will be over and your husband will be issued his visa and on his way to you, Inshallah.
