when ur husband submit last medical?how long u r in AP?

It was going to expire 18th December after one year. We have been in AP for almost 11 months now.

If the embassy only asked for a new medical then that's all they want at this time. send the medical as soon as possible.

Thank you Carolyn.

I emailed the embassy and asked them to tell me if the medical is good for 6 months or for a year. I am waiting for their answer.

Hi carolynhotstuff,

good luck, My passport is going to expire in a couple of months time. I sent an email to the embassy and they replied with a same old that my case is still pending for AP rather about my passport expiry. Should I send them another email ? what do you suggest thanks.

fulbrighter2013,

I don't know anything about your type of visa but it does sound like the embassy knows your travel dates.

the mechanic,

I would email the embassy and ask for your passport back and have it renewed as soon as possible.

The embassy seems to be making all kinds of mistakes with our case. At first they sent us an email asking for a new medical back in October. When I questioned them about it they said it was a mistake our medical was good until March. Because of the debate on here about when they expire I emailed the embassy again. They said medicals are only good for 6 months now.

So my husband will call and make an appointment to get a new medical done. Maybe this is why they have not been working on our case.

guys, are the embassy ppl / dos minful of our travel dates... like university starting dates?

quite a few ppl in my batch actually received visa at the very last moment, which makes me believe they somehow knw when we need to travel..

or was that a coincidence??!

I'm sure they're aware of that but they're bound to complete certain processes / checks prior to issuing a visa.

I've heard if a visa officer approves your visa and then he is posted somewhere else his decision is still honoured by his colleague. Particularly good with Americans.

I am in AP since July 2013. No status update so far.
