I paid for the green card before my husband flew to the United States. He has been here 2 months and we are still waiting on the green card. His social security card came a week after he arrived. They say these days it takes between 1 to 3 months to get the green card in the mail. My husband will get a 10 year green card.

thank u so much for ur information, I got married in dec 2011 and I got my visa in March 10 2014, what u think are they going to give me 10 year green card or just conditional green card...

i think you will get a conditional green card as your marriage is not over 3 years so its CR1..

may i ask how were the last 3 months updates prior to getting your visa?..did your case got regular updates? did they put it on a review? did they asked for fresh docs like med, photos etc? and how many months it took to get your visa after submitting fresh docs? i would appreciate your reply...thanks

i agree with you as i have also sent couple of inquiries without any answer..but this is the first time i did not get any answers...and as far as date changing that's happening though seems like being worked on but still no positive answer yet...

This was my first email to them... Its been 2 months to interview and DOS website states that u can make an inquiry after 60 days... But here we go no answer even 60 days are up.... In embassy faqs it states that it will take them 5 days to email back and if in 5 days they dont email then the answer is already in faqs... Just tell me analyst how the hell m gonna find my personal case status in faqs tht freakin bullsh**.... Those lazy dumb pakistani workers in embassy... They are illerate people...

As far as my understanding is if you have been married over 2 years when you get to the United States you get a 10 year green card. They may have changed the rules. You can try to read about it on the USCIS or Department of State websites.

The embassy has become very bad at returning emails. Follow the ceac wesite it will tell you the status of your case. Write down status date changes it will keep you informed on how often they are working on your case.

Just called the NVC to get an update and this guy Mel basically just said that the case is still in Administrative Processing and the Embassy needs to determine whether my husband is eligible for a visa.

I don't understand though because all of the paperwork was there, his interview went smoothly, and he was told his visa would be issued within 1-3 months!

His eligibility has already been determined when we submitted the paperwork and had an interview!
It makes no sense.

Going into the fourth month of AP now. Praying for the best since that's all I can do.

Shanti Mahraj Shanti....... Ebta-iey AP hay, Rowta hay ki-ya......... Mahraj aa-gy aa-gy deekahiey ho ta ki-ya ...... Mahraj aa-bhi tou AP kay Em-ti-haan aur bi haien.

Mahraj 60 din may (300 times Desperate) ho ga-iey. Hum ko deekah ker zara ho-sa-la laien 13 months, more or less 390 days AP kay Eshiq may gouzar di-ey haien. AP CHA-LAVA hay CHA-LAVA. Yeh sooch lo ISLAMABAD USA EMBASSY ka AP CHA-LAVA. Ek bari NAYAB nasal hay.

Bahi may ray DEEHRAJ, SHANTI kero. Bas Rab sy DUA kero Islamabad US Embassy ko Alah Haydait dy and they should expedite this Manhoos AP process for all cases.

As I have stated in my previous blogs. I think all of us don't min having every case scrutinize by AP or any other process but there should be reasonable time frame to process these cases.

Accha brother dil per ko-iey baat nahi lay nay key. Mooj masti kero. Ek din to visa haath aaiey ga na.
