Hello everyone

I'm also on the same boat like you guys. My husband is us citizen and we got married one and half year before after that I received interview call on 5th November 2013. Interview was good. Co ask general question; how you meet when u get married how's your in laws etc. Then in the end co said everything is ok but we have some administrative process so you have to wait 3 to 6 months he kept my passport and give mr a green slip 221g and all documents and pics.

After that I wait wait and wait but no AP update but now they update on 13-March-2014 status was same but only date change and now again date change 21-March-2014.

So plz plz tell me what updates mean????? Is it good sign????

Yes updates are good sign my son's case updated on 24th march and mine stuck at 14th march!!!

My husband had his interview in the beginning of March last year (2013). I remember there were SO many visas issued that month. After that it got slower and completely dead during the summer months. Barely any updates for anyone and very few visa issuance. Then it picked up and a lot of people got visas issued in September. That's my fear. That if nothing happens in the next two months...we are in for a long haul since there's barely any work done during the summer.

Also for everyone whose medicals are expired, so is mine and few other peoples here who had their interviews last year in March (Mizzusa, raynj etc). We all tried emailing the embassy and asking if they need fresh document and we all got the standard AP response. I think this is a new thing they are doing where they aren't asking for medicals when they are not ready to issue a visa. I would honestly have it this way than getting my hopes up and re-submitting 2-3 times like a lot of people here (which is a waste of money and also gives false hope).

Oh jeez! So what is the next step? From what I have read (and I'm no expert on this) is that NVC will review the case and if they find nothing they will send the petition back to the embassy. Mind you, the embassy sent back it's recommendation to cancel/revoke the petition. It wasn't a concrete denial. NVC upon completion of it's investigation will then deem whether their recommendation had any merit or not. I belive there have been cases where when the NVC did not find any basis or concrete evidence they sent back the case to the embassy stating such. If anyone else has a better understanding of this situation would you enlighten us to the process/procedure in this scenario? And janetusman, I wish you all the best. This isn't the end and don't lose hope.

They most likely sent it back for non bona-fide relationship. At the interview they gave my husband back all of the evidence saying that they had enough. So even if NVC reviews it, they will come to the same conclusion. NVC doesn't refute what the embassy is saying and they have it noted that USCIS requested my petition back, so it will just pass through NVC to USCIS. I will have to wait for NOIR and send back the RFE and wait for reaffirmation.
