where is almostMrs... any update of ur husband case almostmrs..

Haha just reading all of the posts!

My husband's case was updated on February 24, after I sent an email to the Islamabad Embassy. Here is what they sent me:

Thank you for your email.

As per our available record, this visa case is part of an integral administrative processing, that can neither be waived nor expedited. Though, we certainly understand the importance of family reunion, and also aware about the frustration often caused by the delay.

However, ultimately the completion of such process, depends on the Department of State in U.S. Therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to predict the amount of time this process will require.

Consequently, It is imperative to mention that as soon as this process is concluded, we will move forwad regarding this case, and will make contact accordingly.

Sincerely,

IV Unit, Consular Section,

U.S. Embassy, Islamabad.

KA02

I have to say, this post makes me quite angry as it comes across as very judgemental. While I am happy for you that you are blessed to be able to spend so much time with your wife while you are in this AP hell, there are many of us that cannot take off from our lives here in the US for months at a time. Many of us (if not all) have jobs and some of us have other obligations (children and family) that we cannot put on hold. If I had the opportunity to work from PK or live in another country with my husband while we wait it out I would do so in a heartbeat. I try to be positive everyday, but there are times where the stress of the seperation gets to us. My husband and I met in 2010 and married in 2011, it is now 2014 and we are still waiting...

I agree.. not everyone's case is the same or situation. My situation is I have a daughter with a serious brain tumor altho not malignant but I can't leave her for more thatn two weeks tops at one time and during our AP she had a serious set back that caused us to consider begging the embassy to let my husband come for a limited time in case she needed brain surgery as it would be greatly needed to have his support at that time. Luckily we didn't have to she was able to get stabalized but it took more than a year to do so.

I would love nothing more than to move to him and live our lives together but at the same time what do I do with my daughter??? What kind of mother would I be to just leave her when she needs me most right now. I could take her with me of course but at the same time the cabin in the airplane could be enough to make the tumor rupture causing her death. I can't possibly do that. For now, it is what it is.... we wait patiently and pray daily that our challenges can be overcome and my husband home where he should be.

When we look at this group we have to remember that each couple is different and the circumstances are different and what works for one might not work for the other... but the goal is the same to be able to live out our lives together creating a family and we should be supportive of each couples challenges. We will be married 4 yrs this year but my love for him is greater each day. One day... we will be the ones to say our visa is issued until then, im content talking with him every day sleeping with him online at night and emailing while we are at work because I know that Allah has not forgotten us he is simply creating our path.

Mohsin 334 take your passport, birth certificate and visa to the nearest social security office and apply for the card. I hear green card production is slow these days. You can work for a year without the green card but only if you have a social security number.

Salam Alaikum ... to all our fellow AP friends.

idea9dv.gif And I would like to hope that you realize that we are all friends.

Yesterday my husband posted to everyone about us spending time together and trying to be together. Believe me he did not mean to make it sound judgmental and we feel sorry for that. I know that everyone has different circumstances to as why you can’t travel to be with your spouse. We ourselves also have had so many issues of trying to be together. I myself have family back home that are very angry with my decision to come here, and we have sacrificed so much to be together, but it is my life and my choice to be here with my husband. We also had obligations and responsibilities just like everyone else; mostly it was financially this was a hard decision to make because we by far really do not have the finances to travel back n forth. He just wanted to give everyone hope that it can be done and it was taken wrong by many by what he meant. I am a student in college and luckily my school has the option for me to do my studies over here online. We are feeling bad for all of you that are waiting in AP hell, just as we are and each and every one of you are in our prayers. The post he made meant well but just worded wrong and it was addressing the newly wed couples (first marriage) but not spouses with children having double family responsibilities and obligations. He just wanted to say that if it were possible to try to be with your spouses, then do it instead of taking tension of waiting in AP’s hell. I know there are children involved, jobs to keep and so forth, and this makes it even harder to travel to be with your spouses. We would never judge anyone as far as this goes. So please accept our whole hearted apologizes if it hurt some one’s feelings or if some one took it personal. Insha’Allah everyone will soon be with their spouse and family soon.

Best Regards,

Sandra and Alirose.gifheart.gifrose.gifheart.gifrose.gifheart.gifgoofy.gif

No harm done at all :) (these posts don't always convey the actual feelings of the poster) yes we are all here to help eachother thru the struggles and to give hope that there are ways to be together. I wish it was so easy for all of us to be with eachother but so many variables in place with each couple. We all have the same goal and some how if we can give eachother hope or tell how we do it to be together when we aren't physcially together maybe it helps others find a way to make their un normal life normal. For us it's just spending as much time online and doing normal things together, as he helps the baby with her homeowork or reads bed time stories or simply talks to me while i make dinner. Anything we can do so that we don't actually feel the distance.

I am glad that there are those like you that can just go and live with them or others who can go visit 3 or 4 times a year or spend 2 months at a time to visit. I wish that was me but alas this is what we have been dealt and each of us will find a way to get thru it. Some of the newer members don't know the back stories to those of us who are here so long still waiting.. which is why I explained why I'm not living with him or visiting so much. It's definitely a sacrifice for us but at the same time there isn't another option. I am planning a trip this year again as my daughter remains stable but again, it won't be for more than two weeks because any time she could experience a stroke or worse due to the tumor. (It takes up over 33% of her brain)

All we can do is support and understand and give advise on how each of us does it in hopes that it may help the next couple. May Allah bless each of us and bring us to our loved ones
