1. Lawn Darts

2. Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab

3. Mini-Hammocks from EZ Sales

4. Snacktime Cabbage Patch Dolls

5. Sky Dancers

6. Bat Masterson Derringer Belt Gun

7. Creepy Crawlers

8. Johnny Reb Cannon

9. Battlestar Galactica Missile Launcher

10. Fisher-Price Power Wheels Motorcycle

Eager youngsters who gunned the throttle found that it often stayed gunned, stuck in a petrifying state of perma-acceleration. Presumably, the child on the motorcycle was then taken on a hellish, intestine-twisting scream ride. At one point, he or she would face choices unthinkable except in an Evel Knievel meets Knightrider crossover episode: Do I jump? Or do I ride it out and see if I can clear the gully? Is it sentient? Can it be reasoned with?

In August 2000, Fisher-Price recalled 218,000 of the Power Wheels motorcycles, warning: "Children can be injured when the motorcycle ride-ons fail to stop and strike other objects." Stunt children everywhere observed a moment of silence.

Ah, Creepy Crawlers was one of my favorite toys. And yes I burnt myself many times. But never tried to eat one of my creations, which, by the way, I still have around somewhere.

My dad once made all the neighbourhood kids elastic guns- wood cut to the shape of a gun then a clothes pin on top holding back the elastic -then attached to a nail on the front, ready aim fire, until the fights were banned from all the other parents. SOOOO much fun, always thought they would be a good toy for the office they go like 40 feet!

Magnetix rocks! My son has a HUGE rubbermaid bin full of them. Only hazard I've seen from them is getting sucked up my vaccuum cleaner.

Man, I remember when they recalled my original Stretch Armstrong because kids were opening them up and eating what was inside.

Does anyone remember those recall lists on the back of your favorite cereal box? I spent many a morning reading those while I was sucking down Cheerios.

Is it me or does the Snacktime Cabbage Patch Kid, the one that chews your finger off, sound REALLY cool?

If your kids were naughty you could yell "If you don't start behaving I'll feed you to the Cabbage Patch Kid!!!".

Yeah, but i'm not talking about reading cereal boxes. They used to put recalls of certain toys on the back of cereal boxes a long time ago. That's how I found out that my favorite Stretch was being recalled back in the late 70's. :crying:

Got to be a depressing breakfast, after you read about the recalled toys on the cereal box you can read about the missing kids on the milk carton.
