NVC expedited approved

Hey VJ Family!

I recieved an email from NVC stating "The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General"

The only form I was able to send to NVC was the DS-261 "choice of addess and agent". Now that my case is being forwarded to the US Embassy in DR, does anyone know the whole process as to when I should start calling for the forms, payments, etc. and how long will it be for us to get our interview date?

Sure - you'll still need to sling through a DS-260 (or even a DS-230) with an I-864

and the fees will be paid at the Consulate/IV Unit.

Pay attention to any notifications from the IV Unit, as they'll be the entity contacting you or your spouse, next.

as to 'when' - hey ! Call DoS Hotline every two days, ask if the IV Unit has opened the casefile or no.

It's ONLY WHEN the IV Unit opens the casefile, can stuff continue at the IV Unit.
