Hi Guys,

I wonder if any of you have had the same experience. We got our approval notice on the 24th October and I emailed the NVC around two weeks later to see if they had recieved the petition. They replied today and said they hadn't received it yet from the USCIS and that I had to email them the approval so they could chase it up with the USCIS. I therefore called the USCIS and they said we have to wait 90 days before we can call, despite it stating 30 days on the notice.

I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem with the NVC receiving the petition and if so how long did you wait.

Many Thanks

Claire

Hi Claire,

Mine was also processed by CSC. NVC received my file around 6 weeks from NOA2. Hang in there.

Goodluck!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the update. I guess we'll just play the waiting game like everyone else and hope that it doesn't take too long.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes once they've got it before you get your packet?

Many Thanks

Claire

Mine, my i-130 approved on aug 13th. NVC recieved the docs on nov 12th. It took a lot of patient and prayer. But they said the max you can wait is 90 days but mine it took a little over of 90 days. Set your mind set that yours will take 90 days so it wont hurt that much.

Hi, all the notices state that it's been sent to the NVC, however it doesn't mean it's left yet. That's where the problem is in the system. I've found most people getting them within 4-8 weeks, so we'll just have to be patient.

CSC hoards the petitions and sends them in bulk, hence the frustrating delay. They didn't actually send the files over to NVC yet. But as soon as NVC gets it, it gets processed immediately. Not sure if this is still the case, but the average wait time for us July filers was around 35-40 days from NOA2. Seems NVC is processing NOA2's around Oct. 25 at the moment.
