on No. 22 (3 hours later) got that my I130 approved and wait for my letter

but, also stated might go to NVC or State Dept.? so, I don't know what that means.

Again, waiting and hoping

she is from Iloilo but was in Manila, visiting sister....I am lucky. But she lost a cousin and parents home is gone.

I expect my letter to arrive this week. I got e-mail Friday night that they approved my I-130 and that letter was forthcoming

Nice!

I wonder how long the interview schedules will be. I have not gotten the letter with a case # yet, I have a friend checking my mail back in the states. I got the email saying they were sending the info to the Dept of State, am curious if this is different in anyway from the NVC which is under the Dept of State. Would be nice to have it all go quickly, I would like to get out of here by the new year but I don't think we could be so lucky.

also, from I found out, the expediting approval does not carry over to the NVC. I can't believe that one dept. doesn't communicate to other depts. Does anyone have a view or knows if this true?

Have you heard anything from NVC or the Dept of State? I am waiting for my case # still but Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Did your case say it was transferred to the NVC?

If they are doing all of the Philippines versus just the affected areas its gonna be a mess come interview time. I had my NOA1 April 1st...October filers in the PI are quite lucky indeed

NVC finally received the papers but said 2-4 weeks wait for case# and its the holidays. I emailed them after calling them back again for an expedite. I am heading back to the states...and I am sure I will get it once I am back there

Hmm. My wife changed cell # that I used on app. I have had no follow up emails, they sent to you correct? I was just re reading the statement and is confusing if they will sort of bypass the NVC stage. I got everything I need for her interview and am walking distance as I write this...not very consistent in info dissemenation

yes, they sent me a follow up e-mail on Dec. 23. I am sure of the bypass procedure. I think the beneficiary products all paperwork needed by NVC and pays the $88 and $230. I am still reading about all that

sorry, what I meant to say produces all the paperwork

also, I am NOT sure of the bypass procedure, still reading

The Department of State is aware of USCIS’s decision to begin expediting I-130 petitions filed by U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. Upon receiving approved, expedited I-130 petitions for Filipino beneficiaries from USCIS, the Department of State’s National Visa Center (NVC) will schedule immigrant visa (IV) interviews for the U.S. Embassy in Manila as resources allow.

does this possibly mean bypass?

yes, that's what it means. I was confused by the two phone numbers request too

Also, I hope USEM is hiring(or transferring) more personnel into the visa section to process all paperwork

quickly and interview beneficiaries faster

I wish I would not have not booked a flight back to the states now...hard to make any plans. I think I will call again late tnite just for grins to see if they have any more info.

So you did not send all the originals to NVC? Were in the same boat for sure

Ok I called again and there definitely is no auto expedite to NVC. Actually said I have to redo the request after, conflicting info from what there email response was. Also said no bypassing...
