I just made my appointment for Dec 23rd which is a Monday and I was wondering if anyone knew what day I had to get my fiancee's two children ages 2 and three to the medical appointment? I am driving from Mexicali to CDJ and I was wondering if I had to get there the Monday before or the Tuesday or if Saturday is considered a work day and I can get there Wednesday?

Also the embassy letter and previous posts state that with the new DS-160 they are also requesting police certificates? Can you still get those even in a small town like Sonoyta which only has 32000 people?

Any help would be great. I am excited but very scared about driving 16 hours to CDJ all before christmas.

My understanding is that all of the medical appointments should be done at least 1-2 days prior to the interview. The instruction letter says on pages 6 and 7: "Visa applicants are received between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Mexican holidays." So it seems like Saturday is not an option. You should call the medical facilities to confirm their holiday schedule.

Good luck!
