RFE for I-864

I received a RFE for my I-864 today. I sent all this, Along with all tax returns W-2, 1099 etc. Also, I had a co-sponsor since I had been living outside the U.S. and not working for the past year. My co-sponsor is more than adequate and also, sent more info with his I-864 than was requested. I don't know why i would get an RFE for this. Has anyone else experienced this?? I called USCIS and they had no further info.

we had a rfe for the same thing as you and we had already sent it all in so we just sent in what they asked for and now they should have it twice

we went through the same thing. We were asked to submit again some documents that we sure have submitted, but we were advised by the other forum not to question anything that they wanted us to submit again, & so we just submitted everything again.

same thing here, though we just added a co-sponsor since we had no tax returns (hubbie was at college), even though they said it is not necessary as long as you make enough money now.

Just check everything twice before you sent it in again - maybe one little box was checked incorrectly and they will send a RFE without telling you what was wrong... So just proof-proof-proof-read it

Did you send the employment letter? That might be what the RFE is for. Anyways, you should still send everything they asked for. I also got the same RFE.

They tend to loose papers, misplace them, so just re-send everything again.

It's really common, there's probably like 547823572385732 posts about it happenening. Happened to us too, we sent everything possible, still got an RFE. It's just the service centers way of annoying you lol.

Most everyone is getting RFE's these days. It's much easier (and quicker) to re-send it all rather than try and prove you already sent it. This is the USCIS. They can and will ask for whatever they want, even if it's something they already have.

Just a quick advice for people who's RFE regards the I-864

When sending the tax returns, make sure to include the W2's, apparently even though you're sending tax transcripts, they need to see the W2. Send your employment letter, but also attach the last two months of payment stubs.

We also had a RFE regarding our Affidavit, we had sent everything but the w2's. At interview we brought updated documentation. They didnt want that, they said we were ok.
