Wow I have to add that ( my recipient was from morocco btw) what I learned from someone who works at the police dept in morocco is that, once the petition reaches the consulate they begin work investigating the visa recipients past. They will question childhood friends, people they associate with and dig up everything possible to gain history and motive. If you/ anyone thinks deleting (incriminating or sexual) chat records will cover things...think again.

Just like your significant other trying to cover their identity on dating sites or sex sites, it will surface. The government and law enforcement have special access to files that can not be removed. They are removed as far as a normal or computer wiz is concerned, but they are still plain as day for those with special privileges. But they don't care how nasty or kinky someone's sex habits are. What they look at is motive, and intention, criminal activity etc.... So if you find your case in AP for a long time...I would feel good about it! It may save the petitioner allot of heartache later in divorce court. He or she isn't in AP because of a backlog of paperwork or shot staff at the consulates. That's what they want to tell you so you leave them alone. It's because they got more investigating to do and leads to check on. My husband (x) was surprised they had tracked down old school friends for questioning. He did not expect such a thorough inspection. But now that they know they will be extra careful about their trail too. It goes on and on. I noticed that a lot of online dating sites will no longer allow you to connect with singles in foreign countries (no I'm not looking there lol) but that is where I met my X many years ago. The gov is trying to make it harder for them to have access to lonely Americans but don't think that will stop the men/women from trying to connect with a Potentiol petitioner. They are getting more cleaver. I have been approached by several on cooking/recipe message board sites and message boards about hobbies I have or things I am studying.

I want to add that because I was naive back than and very diligent about getting what I thought was the love of my life here to the USA with me (wow) I bombarded the consulate with so much evidence of my husband/my real authentic love that I actually had my family and friends write letters of proof of our valid relationship (at least 7 from mine and 12 from his family including his father and mother- that incidentally could have been fake!)

I think the consulate approved him in the second interview because they figured (since he was not a security threat) if I was stupid enough to take this guy and promise to support him for at least 10 years in case he was to become a financial burden and willing to risk getting my heart broken later......why should they care? I mean they tried to stop it but he k if your going to fight for it that hard......you deserve what you get right? *beats head against wall*

I agree with some of what you have said. However I strongly disagree that one should feel happy about long AP.

Be it a failed relationship here or with someone from overseas, I am a big girl and can handle my own choices and at times sad consequences.

I do not need the government to decide for me who to be with or "protect" me from anyone. If the beneficiary is not a security risk or

they have solid written proof that he/she is seeking immigration benefits only then my choices are my choices.

I value my freedom of choice and do not agree with assumptions and mere speculation. Prolonged AP needs to be stopped by law.

It is a lot of hardship for many genuine people, children born and never having seen their father etc.

There are people here who have been in AP not for months but years, 7 being the longest that I know of, many 3-4 years.

This is BS. Either they need to produce a good reason for it and disclose to the petitioner or get on with it and approve.

I would add Jamaica, some would disagree. I agree that quality frontloading versus quantity is vital to approval. I say all the time, you cannot follow the Joneses when applying in JA. Every time someone gets denied or needs a co-sponsor, I just SMDH, cause we told you not to believe that.

And that is how it should be...taking our consequences for our good or bad choices like a grown adult without the government making that decision for us. It is called accountability.

If anyone would not "fight hard" to get their fiance/spouse here then they should date locally.

Setting high standards and expecting consistency and spending a lot of time with someone goes a long way rather than

petitioning someone after a short time who is actually a complete stranger on the internet.

In a nutshell, front loading or not front loading is not a substitute of one's own accountability and that is not the issue here.

If you were to ever petition someone else years down the road then you would do the same thing, trust them and fight hard just as you did before.....only this time you would notice the red flags looming which you overlooked before and be more cautious.

That is the purpose of this thread, to fight hard with front loading to get our loved ones here.

Sorry it did not work out for you but my point is while we are on this journey we do what we must. What follows is another

chapter. I refuse to leave my future in the hands of a CO who is full of assumptions and biased speculation by submitting a wishy

washy petition.

I would add Jamaica, some would disagree. I agree that quality frontloading versus quantity is vital to approval. I say all the time, you cannot follow the Joneses when applying in JA. Every time someone gets denied or needs a co-sponsor, I just SMDH, cause we told you not to believe that.

Thank you for your feedback.
