Bon Soir is good evening. Bone swar. say it fast, you don't want to put too much emphasis on the n in bon, or the r on soir. Hope that helps.

Bon is pronounced more like "bon bon" or Jon Bon Jovi than bone.

Bon matin is good morning

Bonsoir is good evening

Bonne nuit is good night.

Après-midi means afternoon but I don't think it's used commonly in a greeting.

And my apologies for the possible messing up of female/male version of "bon". My French is over 20 years not in use. ;)

Electricity is really just organized lightning.
