Timing before Stay Expires

My wife entered under a tourist visa and we decided to get married on a whim. He passport is stamped that she must leave by Dec 20th. If all the paperwork is filed by that time is that all we need or will it count against her as staying longer and need additional paperwork?

Thanks for your help, this is all a bit confusing.

All overstays are forgiven with marriage to a US citizen. So no, it won't count against her.
