I am applying for a green card through marriage to a US citizen.

I was F-1 student and finish my OPT. I had EAD but it is expired.
All forms request my alien registration number.

The A# that appears on my EAD, Can I use this A#?

Thanks!

Take your EAD card (no matter if it is expired or not) and the number called "USCIS#" is your Alient number, and yes that's the one u need to use

B2 holders don't have an A# unless they've applied for another kind of benefit before or they've been placed into removal proceedings.

So in this case, with visa B1/B2, filling out the I-485 i leave blank the A-NUMBER?

thank you
