The Japanese Air Self-Defence Force (ASDF) was placed on high alert and scrambled jets after two Russian long-range Tu-95 strategic bombers (comparable to American B-52s) flew the length of the Ryukyu Island chain on Sunday. According to Ria Novosti, the bombers did not violate Japanese airspace.

...

The Japanese reaction to this sort of Russian activity has been observed for a while now. The ASDF has scrambled jets 105 times between July to September 2013 due to close-proximity Russian fly-bys.

Although the fly-by did not violate Japanese airspace during this particular incident, Russian jets have been known to do so in the past.

...

An often-underdiscussed point in analyses of the increasing Russian fly-bys this year is growing Russian unease over burgeoning U.S. missile defense systems in Japan. Reflecting on the 2+2 meeting earlier this month, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said “We made no secret of the fact that the creation by the U.S. of a global missile defense system, including a Japanese element, is causing us grave concern, primarily over the possible destruction of the strategic balance of power in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Moscow is expected to approach Tokyo more directly about the issue in future high-level talks. Japanese FM Kishida was remarkably clear about Japan’s commitment to its alliance with the United States. According to RT, he responded to Russian concerns by stating that “there will be no changes” with regard to its U.S. alliance. The fly-bys might communicate to Tokyo the true extent of Moscow’s concerns.

Is this about guns or Obama care? I don't get it.

Yes.

Because of Obamacare, Obama is weak and unabe to pursue other agenda items.

The Repubs just handed him his head on immigration and he will do nothing about it.

Assad is rolling over the rebels in syria and Obama will do nothing about it because Puin handed him his head and now flies his bombers over Japan with impunity because Obama can do nothing about it

Obama is too busy figuring out how to fix his landmark legislative boondoggle without using the legislature. When the free world leader cannot even provide healthcare for his own country (like Japan can) the rest of the world runs all over him.

When our President is a failure and a liar for all the world to see, the world will stomp all over us wherever they can.

Both.

The Russians have guns.

The Japanese have a healthcare system somewhat similar to Obamacare.

The Obama administration considers the Japanese an ally. Of course they do.

NO ONE has a heathcare system similar to Obamacare. Soon, neither will we.

Russia is back to poking their thumb in our eye whenever they want...because they can

Let me help you out here, there seems to be some confusion.

Obama is a puppet. He is a rubber ducky for people behind closed doors with their own political views. I know America elects a president for the people, yada yada yada, but this is not true. The President serves the people who got them elected first (not us regardless of our votes) and then if he has time and the masters allow it, he will do something to appease the people.

Why people were expecting anything different than what they normally get because he is "the first black president" is beyond me. He is a face and voice for people who are really pulling the strings. You elect a person hoping that the real people behind closed doors are not fruit cakes.

Every president has done it. Bush Jr's folks wanted the Iraq war as well as Bush Sr's people. Clinton's people told him to ignore the genocide in Sudan.

Every President will have someone pulling the strings. I hope this helps you out in your future confusion and maybe we will stop seeing the Obama posts because people think you have a crush on him.

If Chris Christie makes it to the White House, there will be no strings being pulled.

It will need to be ropes.

I don't think people expected him to be different because of his race; I think they thought he would be different because of his character. Or at least, the things he said that we thought were a reflection of his character.

There were a lot of people who listened to his campaign speeches and believed what they heard. I was a supporter of McCain from the beginning but I was still impressed with the things Obama said during the campaign. He campaigned as somebody different - you know, the hope and change.

And, even though I didn't vote for him, I really hoped that he would live up to his hype. And while he's done some good things, he has been just like every other politician.

Voting is about whether or not the lies that are being spoken has a slight chance or percentage that some of it will become true.

Which candidate has the highest chance of fulfilling their lies, that's it. If we want true change and hope we need to elect someone to office that has never been in politics before and do not have a behind doors pusher man.

If the Russians nuked Japan, would anybody notice? It is not like I can't see Japan glowing in the night sky already from my front porch.

I love my Toyota's

don't nuke them
