Texas

Although I have had some good times, (for the Texas lovers) this is an example of closed mindedness from students. Many have never traveled outside of the U.S. before nor have they left Texas.

I think it's a great game at the campus,

to bring political awareness (right or wrong) to the problem

of illegal immigrants inside Texas.

In what I use for a belief system, an illegal immigrant should be caught and deported out of the USA.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I agree, they should not be here illegally, however, deportation is ICE's job, not the job of the students. They should be studying.

They are going to get wacked in the eye by someone who is an USC that they believe is illegal.

Some of them think all people who are not white or black are illegal aliens they cannot phantom the idea that people from other countries are USCs in the U.S.

no - reread post #1 - that's not the game at all.

members of the club wear shirts tagging them, and any student on campus who tags one, gets 25 dollar gift certificate.

The group is not seeking illegal aliens on campus, or even in Texas.

Aiyoooo!!!! I should have known not to answer him.

Aha ! I note, officially, you've stepped into Part III of your official VJ training. Hang in there, it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Remember Step II, and all of the slimey-ickiness you washed off after ? More of the same, just different.

AUSTIN, Texas — A conservative student group announced Monday they will play a “Catch an Illegal Immigrant Game” this week on the University of Texas at Austin, drawing condemnation from Democrats and a threat of expulsion from campus officials.

The Young Conservatives of Texas have planned the game for Wednesday. Club members will wander the campus wearing signs that say “illegal immigrant,” and students who capture them and take them to the Young Conservatives’ recruiting table will get $25 gift certificates.

Disgusting. There are better ways to spark a conversation.

Cool

I hope catching criminals becomes a civic duty

You know what they call it when you're too busy working to post on VJ properly?

Slavery.

Non-Government Job?

So as a white person of non-Texas origin, are you telling us you'd need a lot more than $25 to kidnap an immigrant of color under the spurious belief that he or she is document-devoid?

What would your price be?

I think it is volunteer pretend illegals.

Memphis, TN another closed minded place.

I will be there next week! My boyfriend's also from Memphis and I'm going back with him to meet all the friends and family. I've been warned not to tell his Mama that he's an atheist, because it would break her heart. Also I'm not supposed to open my liberal Yankee mouth when it comes to politics.

This sounds all correct. Memphis is super bible totting place with a church on almost every corner.

Don't talk politics and definitely don't talk Obama. I had a guy acting crazy with me on the road shouting Obama at me because he assumed I voted for him because I was black. heheh I had to call the police on him and give them his license plate number.
