Hello every one


is it possible that USCIS sent the packet to NVC and they just did not update my profile on their site saying that the packet is sent to NVC?



has any one experienced this? sad.png

I've got updated a week after approval date on the website. You may need to wait for a while.

9/27/2013 - Alien registration number was changed

10/28/2013 - NOA2 notification

12/16/2013 - Sent to NVC (--- this took WAY Too long)

12/27/2013 - Arrived at NVC

1/6/2013 - Packet 3

1/17/2014 - DS-160 submitted

1/21/2014 - Readiness form completed

2/7/2014 - Medical Completed

2/22/2014 - Letter from embassy with interview date

3/13/2014 - Interview!!!!!

We got our NOA-2 about 2 weeks ago, and I have been calling the NVC for the last few days to see if they've received her packet yet. The hold music is terrible!

07/19/2011 - Met while we were both working in Kuwait

03/18/2013 - I left Kuwait at the end of my contract and returned to the States

07/19/2013 - Got engaged!

09/24/2013 - Mailed in the I-129F packet to TSC

10/01/2013 - Received NOA-1

11/05/2013 - Received NOA-2

12/02/2013 - NVC receives the paperwork

12/03/2013 - Case number assigned

12/06/2013 - Case shipped to embassy

12/29/2013 - Case received by embassy

01/02/2014 - Interview scheduled for January 15th

01/07/2014 - Medical exam

01/11/2014 - Interview pushed back to January 22nd

01/22/2014 - Had the interview, was put into AP pending more documentation

01/26/2014 - Visa approved!

03/18/2014 - She entered USA

04/04/2014 - Married!

05/01/2014 - Filed AOS

K1 (I-129F) petition filed in August 2013 (Approved Feb 20th 2014)
13th May 2014: AOS (I-485) & EAD/AP combo card
21st May 2014: NOA 1 and biometric letter
11th June 2014: biometric appointment
13th June 2014: RFE received via mail
16th June 2014: replied to RFE
6th August 2014: EAD Approved, AP still in initial review
12th August 2014: got tracking number for EAD
( ) August 2014: Received EAD (I forgot what date I got them but I did receive them less than 5 days from the 12th)
10th September 2014: Interview Waiver received (I wished I was interviewed)
April 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice

my status in uscis say post decision activity

On November 5, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

after this my case will have any update in uscis's website or my fiance need to call nvc now

note: they also mailed a notice to my boyfriend (im he beneficiary) saying the petition has been sent to nvc.

Our NOA-2 date was also Nov 5. Congratulations!

At this point, I believe the USCIS website will not update your status any more. They've done their part already. The NVC says it can take up to 8 weeks to receive your case (which would be Dec 31st), but the guides here recommend calling to check on the status 2 weeks after your NOA-2 date (which happens to be today for both of us). You can start calling now to see if they have your papers and have assigned a case number yet, but remember to be patient still.

The NVC's number is 603-334-0700, and you will need to have your USCIS receipt number so they can look you up. Expect to get the occassional busy signal or spend a long time on hold. Keep being persistent, and good luck.

if your case was processed in TSC then USCIS will update the status saying your case was shipped to NVC

Don't worry folks, though I've got things seem faster but the US consulate in Jakarta still hasn't got my case file yet. It's been almost 3 weeks now. The other VJer here that got her case number after me already has the packet 3. So, be ready for the waiting game.content.gif . The bright side of my case, I am planning to have my interview in January so slower seems better for me.

AFTER receiving my NOA2, I emailed NVC with my petition number as the subject line and my name and dob and my fiances name and dob in the body of the email to nvcinquiry@State.gov. They replied in 7 business days with my case number. It seems better than staying on hold for an hour. Good luck!
