Double-checking i-130

Hello! I've been lurking here for a while, but finally decided to register, as trying to figure out all the red tape is driving us mad. :)

I have a couple of questions about the i-130, Petition for Alien Relative.

On the "address" section for my husband, I assume it means his (official) permanent address in Ireland, and not the one we're at presently, correct?

For things such as "Naturalization" under whether or not I am a US Citizen and how (I am by birth), do I need to put N/A, or should I leave it blank? This question goes for any other things that may not apply to us as well ... such as "previous spouses." Neither of us have one, so I assume we can just leave it blank ... but I'm not sure, as that may look like we didn't complete the form correctly.

There are still a lot of forms for me to go back and check (as you all know ..) so I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thank you for your patience and help! :D

It's never good to leave anything blank..its always better to put none or n/a but dont leave anything blank...if you are a citizen by birth put that and they will see that also as you wil have to enclose a copy of your birth certificate with your application

Thanks, that's quite helpful. Unfortunately, Acrobat doesn't want me to fill in letters where it wants numbers, so I suppose I'll have to fill these out by hand ...

Anyone know anything about the address??

Okay, then current address is the address in the USA.

If you are a born citizen then N/A for naturalization. Same for prior spouses.

As far as form I-130:

Number 2 is current address

Number 3 is address/town in his home country

Anyone know anything about the address??

What question specifically are you referring to?

Sorry, I was unaware that the timeline was a thing before I had even filed any forms. I filled out as much as I know right now! :)

The address question I'm asking about is section C, question 2. It doesn't say "current address" or anything like that, just "address." I've seen example forms with both the foreign address and the address in the new country, so I think it probably depends ... I'm just trying to figure out what on. blush.png

His address is in the USA now. This form is used for people who live abroad as well as the US, so you can't follow the example of someone who lives abroad. If he is living in the US with you then list his US address.

That's great. Thanks for your help! I'm sure I'll end up with more questions as I continue to work on these forms. Thanks for taking the time to help me. :)
