OK, so my youngest(15) has been hinting she may want to actually come join me in the US now. At first she decided to stay with her father..

Sooo, I've been reading the forums, and is this correct, a 10 YEAR WAIT if I apply for her once (crossing fingers) I get GC?? Is it same amount of time if my hubby (US citizen) files for her?? unfortunately when we filed for me, she wasn't interested at the time, so we didn't include her..

14/12/2013 EAD/AP Combo received in mail smile.png

18/12/2013 Online Interview date of January 23/2014, instructions sent in mail.

23/01/2014 APPROVED...Green Card being sent in mail, no stamp in passport

29/01/2014 Received Welcome Letter

30/01/2014 Green Card Received babayyyyy!!

01/02/2014 Returned Green Card...Mistake on dates

USC applies for a step-daughter. She's an immediate relative. He can file now. You're married, right? You'll be pursuing a CR-2 visa for her.

Hi Boiler, was reading this, looks like the info was for Phillipines not Canada per se, yet the wait seems to be 7 yrs at least by this chart??

your reading it incorrectly. the one you are reading is F2B for children over 21 of LPR. if you file, since your child is only 15, check the F2A category

your spouse can file now, or you can file and it will only take over a year. the priority date is in September of this year.

Thank you! I'm horrible at reading these timeline things....had seen the link in another thread where people were telling the beneficiary that they would have about a 10-15 yrs wait for their child (whom I am guessing was over 21)....got me a little worried, a year is long enough!!
