As you may have read from my previous posts, my husband has his immigration interview on the 20th in New Delhi. He also had his documents stolen. We've been able to recoup everything except the most important stuff.... the passport (and thus) the medical. We let the embassy know and they asked us to send a copy of the passport and F.I.R (police report about stolen stuff). We sent the F.I.R, and reminded them of the passport situation. They replied with something along the lines of, "let us know when you have it."

Now, from what I've read on here, sometimes, it's better to go to the interview unprepared and get a 221g rather than completely rescheduling to wait for another couple of months.

Is this true? My husband is waiting at a hotel and we are both quite worried.

i think you're right. thats the impression ive gotten from other people too. id go, get your 221 and have your year to get your passport and the situation fixed. if you dont go, your case will expire soon and youd have to start all over (cases expire 3 months from when the nvc processes your case).

hope you can get the passport soon, very frustrating situation!
