Our interview was scheduled for 2:00 PM. We arrived 20 minutes early, and was not called by the interviewer until 2:30. She came out and noticed another couple waiting, asked who was first (we were), and politely asked if we would let the other couple go first since they had a baby with them. The couple quickly acknowledged that they only lived 10 miles away, compared to our 2 hour drive (whew).

After being sworned in the interviewer asked my husband:

Have you ever been deported from the USA?

Have you ever tried to illegally help someone enter the USA?

Have you ever been involved in any terrorist activities, prostitution or illegal gambling?

Have you ever been arrested?

She then asked me how did we meet?

When did we get married?

And finally .... do we have any proof of our relationship?

I handed her six months of household bills showing both our names. For the one bill that did not have my husbands name, I then pointed out that my married name was on the bill. Next I provided her with our bank statements. Afterwards, I told her that we do have photos, and she politely stated "no thanks, I have more than enough proof, and I'm sure the photos are beautiful." She then acknowledged that she was running behind schedule. After placing all of the information in our files, she said that she would approve us, and said the Greencard should be arriving in the mail within two weeks.

Overall, our experience was very easy, and everyone was super nice.

Thanks to the entire VJ family for all of your help. Our time online with VJ will not end here. The feedback we have received from more experienced VJ'ers have certainly helped us, and we want to do the same for others. Also, we have made a couple of great friends. One of them flew all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast to attend our wedding. And guess what?!?!? They never met us in person (until the wedding of course)! See ... great relationships really can happen online.

Take Care!
