Hello, all. I receieved a NoA2 yesterday(Nov. 16)in the mail as I'm trying to bring my fiance over from Honduras. It says that the petition has been approved and has been forwarded to the listed consulate. What am I supposed to do now? Do I call the embassy in Honduras(Tegucigalpa to be exact)and see if they received it? Is my fiance supposed to schedule the interview with them or are they supposed to call her for that? And what is my fiance supposed to bring to the interview(if anything)? What do I need to send her? Any help would be greatly appreciated for I'm currently stumped on what to do next :/

Now you wait for 6-8 weeks before you receive confirmation back from the NVC. They will send you a letter. (Took them 6 weeks for me).

In the meantime have her get things taken care of that she will need for the interview, i.e. Police record, translations, 2 passport photos, etc. You need to send her a copy of all the stuff you sent in the 129f packet and the I-134 form. Other than that, just sit back and hold tight. I guess if you can access the DS-160 early on, you can research what info you need for that just to be ahead of the curve and time is of importance to you (which it should be if you're in love :D )

What kind of stuff? I know I have to send her proof of our ongoing relationship but do I have to send her the 129f form and the g325 that we filled out as well?

It has been recommended before that you send a copy of EVERYTHING that was in the 129f pack to your fiance for the interview, but I don't recall if it is a necessity. Keep researching.

A friend of mine that has been through this process said that her fiance never had to bring a duplicate I-129f package(although they did ask for a g325 copy). And I looked at the embassy site and nowehere does it say that an duplicate of an I-129f package is necessary for the interview. but like you said, I'll keep researching. Thanks :)

First you should keep checking on USCIS web by your receipt number until you see they said they shipped papers to NVC and then you could send NVC an email to ask about case number, when they got your papers already, they may send email back to you to let know about case number. After knew case number and a few week, they would send papers to the embassy. And then do what you have to do for her's interview.

That what me and my fiance do for next step after get NoA2. I hope it would help you!

Good luck to you both! Hope you would be with your girl soon!

Now you have to wait that the petition status on uscis page change to : shipped

If your status only says patition approved, they havent sent to nvc.

When your status change to shipped on uscis wait 10 or 12 days to call nvc to get your case number.

After you get your case number wait 5 or 6 and they send to embassy at honduras.

By the moment if the status doesnt change to shipped they havent sent the papers to nvc.

Be patient.
