Hi just wanted to see if anyone here can help. The embassy has had my fiancée info since June 26 2013. Has anyone gotten an interview scheduled yet. And if so how long was your wait ?

My fiancé sent our packet into the embassy the first week in August. We had read on VJ in June that the wait for an interview was 4-5 months, but that was before the revolution on July 3 in Egypt (which shut down the embassy sporadically for many weeks) and the US government shutdown of 17 days. It seems that if you filed in June and haven't heard anything since, it might be quite a bit of a longer wait for all of us. When I went to this site...http://egypt.usembassy.gov/consular/iv8.html I noticed they were interviewing mainly diversity visa people in November.

So, to answer your question...no, I've not heard anything at all with regard to an interview. I sure wish I had better news.
