We have received our case number from the NVC and our aplpication is at the embassy in Manila. We got the case number from the tracking website the government website has and it said our case is READY and then under thay had instructions to schedule interview and medical exam. We paid for and scheduled an interview already and want to get the medical exam done but we were told that we need an NVC Notice that shows our case number.

I called the NVC and they said they sent the notice to my US address by mail but I have not received it. I confirmed all my mailing address info and it was correct. They also said they sent it to our attorney on record by email but they haven't received it and all email addresses are correct. We have yet to receive anything official.

We did receive this by EMAIL below (I put X's over the sensitive information)

Is this the NVC notice? It did not have the official government seal so I am not sure and I don't know what else to do.

Also, does anyone have a sample of the official NVC notice? Do we need this for the medical exam?

Almost same but mine mailed to my fiance's address. We did not get any notification by email. I did not have priority date and on the bottom only says,

Sincerely,

US Department of State

Bureau of Consular Affairs

Edit: On the letter it has seal of US Department of State.

No it isn't the NVC notice. We also got the same email from NVC.

You may have the medical without the NVC letter. We didn't have it during the medical and when asked, we simply said that we don't have it and we just got the case # by calling NVC and didn't encounter any problems.

Some just do a print screen of their case status via the CEAC website.

Good luck!

Print and show them your interview appointment confirmation email, they accept that. That's what I did and didn't encounter any problems at all.

Thanks everyone!

On the St Lukes website here it says:

http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

  1. Visa Interview Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available,
  2. 2 photocopies of your Appointment Letter/ Instruction Letter

As I said, we don't the Appoitment Letter or the Instruction Letter. Can we still get the medical exam?

Yes that NVC letter is fine for St. Luke's, or if someone doesn't have the NVC letter they confirmation email from scheduling the interview can be used instead. You only need one or the other.

You will need a copy of the interview confirmation at the embassy for the interview.

No it isn't the NVC notice. We also got the same email from NVC.

Yup that NVC letter is totally acceptable with St. Luke's, they are only looking for a letter/document from NVC or USEM with the beneficiary's name and MNL # .... that NVC letter has that.

The "firing" of the lawyer will have no barring on your visa. If you have the MNL# from the NVC then you are good to go.

Things can move fast now as you are more in control.Go to Hank's handy dandy all inclusive guide found here: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/# for further instructions to follow. If you have questions just post them in the Philippines section of VJ and you will get them answered.

Good luck.

Don't worry about the official notice. I already have my visa and I still haven't received that "official notice" until now. Waiting for it will only waste precious time.

You can print the email from NVC and use that for your medical. Also, since you already scheduled an interview, you can print the appointment confirmation email and use that too. I'm 100% sure of that.

- No, it doesn't.

also his attorney received the letter from NVC but we only have the case number and there are NO INVOICE AND PRIORITY NUMBER...what does that mean? please help!!!!

- You can just call NVC to get your invoice identification number. Priority date is the "received date" on your NOA1 hard copy

What does it mean? Your fiance got smart ;)!

You have your MNL # so you are good to go. There is no INVOICE number with the K-1. The Priority date is the received date on the NOA1.

... follow the flashing arrow for more details.
