Hi,

My name is Dawid and originally I'm from Poland. My father was living in US for a few years and got SSN, good job, drivers license etc. About three years ago, me, my brother, and my mother got H4 visas for 1 year. We came and I immediately went to high school. Back in Poland I was very bad at school, hanging with wrong people, even taking hard drugs (amphetamine the hardest I tried). I decided that I will make this my second chance in life. It was hard at the beginning due to no English skills at all but with some time I overcome it all. I finished High School with highest honors (4GPA) and I realized I can do a lot in my life. Now I'm in college and also doing great. It's really amazing how great education is in US. My dad bought a house in Sac CA and we can't be happier. I'm a little down because our visas expired long time ago and now I don't know really what to do. Hopefully somebody can post some hints to my situation. Here are the facts. My father has SSN, credit card, house, but no Green card. My mom has Drivers license but nothing besides that. I don't have anything besides a passport with expired visa. I can't make drivers license or CA id card or get a part time job because I don't have SSN. Am I doomed? is there any way to get my status back? I can't imagine going back to Poland after living here - it's that great here. I even thought about writing a letter to CA governor or even to the president Bush but I don't want to risk deportation for my family, and besides I don't think they would read it anyway (most likely some of their people would throw it to trash).

Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Find a dumb American broad and marry her.

ETA: I think your story is a load of crock, btw. If you came in on an H4, that means your daddy came in on an H1. If his H1 expires, the smart thing to do would be to go back to Poland and reapply. H1's are rarely rejected even if they may take a while to process.

I know a young man in the same situation as you. His visa was expired.

He went back to his homeland for a visit.

When he should travel back to US they didn't let him in and gave him 10 years of quarantine before he could search for a new visa.

I think you should contact a good lawyer.

thanks for the input. Yes I know it would be almost impossible for me to get my visa back in case I went back to Poland. I guess I will have to find a good lawyer.

The facts are these: you are living ILLEGALLY in the USA. You have absolutely no right to be here. There is no action you can take that will make you legal. If the authorities find out about you, they will deport you, just the same as any country would do to an illegal alien..... but if you go to www.myspace.com, you can find a nice big american dream to keep you company before you go!

If it was that easy I would have stayed with my fiance last time I visit him in US.

Haven't see him in almost 2 years because of alot of complications and this d.. waiting time to do it legal.
