Hello,

I have a IR1 visa (permanent resident) and I reside in US since 2011.

I recently divorced (my ex is a us citizen) and as far I as I know my status of resident is not affected by this event since we had been married for 5 years already at the time when I applied for the green card.

I would like to know if I still need to notify the US immigration of the fact that I am not married anymore.

(I already notified them of my change of address few days after I moved out of the marital home)

Nope. Your permanent resident status is not conditionally based on your marriage. You do not need to notify the USCIS of anything other than change of address (form AR-11) if you have moved.

PS. You do not have a visa. Your IR-1 visa expired on default when you entered the US in 2011. You are in the US as an IR-1 category permanent resident. Just getting technical here ;)

You do have to inform then within 10 days that you have moved however online or with form AR-11. Anyone who has signed an I-864 on your behalf needs to inform the USCIS if they move with an I-865
