The distance proved to be too much. Me and my husband left each other today.

I wish you all the best of luck. I hope your visa approvals work out. Allah Hafiz.

Thank you all for your kind words. Good luck

Must not have loved each other very much, then. My wife and I met in April of 2007, were married in October of 2009, and weren't permanently together until early 2011.

You're probably both better off - imagine how you would have weathered far worse storms than simply having to be patient....

Its more than just patience. I am patient. But im also supporting him financially. I have two children and i m paying for everything including his food n such. I feel stressed and anxious, not about the petition but life with a man like him. I have a 16 yo daughter threatening suicide n a husband that won't even get a job. Its too much for me and my daughter must come first.

Oh, I see. That is an entirely different matter. Sounds like he isn't the right guy for you - kids should always come first! Sounds as if he is irresponisble. Best of luck to you.

Yes. He is. From my understanding of Islam, a husband should support his wife. I have been told by Muslim friends that he is just using me. I dont expect suppirt for me but i do want him to support himself.

It is correct that a husband should support his wife, but sometimes reality gets in the way (unemployment, high cost of living, disability, etc). If your husband hasn't been even trying to get a job, yeah, he's no good. My aunt's first husband was the same way (also from Pakistan coincidentally, that's not to say many Pakistani men are like that, it's not true at all). But there are users out there everywhere. Sorry for your daughter's struggles. I remember being her age and having similar issues. May your family get through these tough times and heal.

He had a job when i met him. Not a good one but i was in love. I know the struggle in Pakistan and i appreciate that it may be hard to get a job. It seems like he doesnt try at all. If he truly wanted to he would take any job at all. I gave up freelancing for a steady 9to 5 for him to show i can support him for the petition. I hate my job but i would do anything for him. I cant handle his demands weekly. If i dont send a certain amount he gets angry. I am not supposed to talk to men despite i m innocent of flirting. If i don't answer his phone he says i m cheating. I wish the best for him and will send money til he gets work as i feel responsible for his welfare until divorce. Thank you for all the feedback. Allah Hafiz

i have no doubt in my mind , you are wasting your time , if some one ask you once he or she must be in problem but if some one is sitting on his lousy ### not doing any job and putting all kind of restrictions on you , i dont know the whole story but use ur brain , and think 1000 times before you do something
