Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline

If you are back in the USA they will already know.

Keep in mind that if you are out of the US for an extended period while holding a conditional green card your green card can be cancelled (usually one year but , at their discretion , could happen any time. After my wife received her conditional green card we left the country for almost 4 months. The immigration officer informed us that her card could be revoked without us even knowing if were were out of the US for too long. No one tells you that during the process. If you re entered and intend to stay here until you apply to remove conditions you are OK. Just be sure to apply within the 90 day period preceding the 2 year anniversary of your conditional approval.

If still married to the same USC you received your 2 year GC ,you can apply for citizenship after 3 years of being a LPR. If not still married, you can apply based on being a LPR for 5 years. Please note that it is the date of LPR AND marriage which every is later rules the timeline. You might want to look here to see how that time outside the US affected your ability to file for USC.

As a LPR you need to remain in the US MORE than you spend "visiting" your home country or other countries. You will need to determine if you followed the rules for maintaining your residence in the US while you were studying in the PI. If you failed to do so then the clock was reset and you being counting the time since re-entering the US. The USCIS does not explain any of the rules of being a LPR as it is up to YOU to find them and follow them--for 90% of the people who become LPR it does not matter, but there are those that become LPR and try to live in their home country. Since you were re-admitted, the CBP thought that you did not abandon your LPR status--this is a good thing. Did you file the N-470 form while being outside the US for the 2 years? If not then you can file for USC no sooner than 2 years if the time outside the US qualifies and 3 years if it does not--this would be based on marriage to the same USC you married using the GC.

Good luck,

Dave
