Hi everyone! I'd like some input on our situation...

We got our case number from the NVC last Thursday, and when I called the NVC on Friday (the 8th), the woman told me my case was already in transit to Costa Rica. It's been eight days since it was sent, and I contacted the embassy there to see if it has arrived yet, which as of today it has not. I am a little worried that our case might be lost?? From the timelines I have seen, it usually only takes a couple days for the case to arrive at the embassy. We are both worried that our case has been lost somewhere. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

Hi @lafez! The same thing happened to us. Our packet was sent from the NVC on October 18th and a friend helped us track it (maybe try looking at other threads about how to do that) and from the DHL tracking it said it arrived on October 21st. When my fiancé called the embassy the following Thursday the 24th, the woman at the Embassy in CR said it hadn't arrived. Obviously my fiancé FREAKED OUT for nothing cause whoever he spoke with didn't know it was already there. We called again on November 4th and they said that packet 3 was ready, so I guess that was like 14 days after it arrived.

What I *think* is happening right now is the embassy is processing you info and entering it into their system. I'm sure it will be ready this week. Just keep calling and remain patient!
