I know I do not make enough to meet the requirements for the I134, is there a form for the co-sponsor to fill out or do I just need to have them write a letter and have it notorized. Thanks

They will also fill out an I-134, and provide the same type of financial evidence.

Joint or Co Sponsor for the I-134 is bandied about quite a bit. There is NO provision for a Joint Sponsor with the I-134, only a Sponsor. If the petitioner who is normally the logically choice to be the Sponsor does not meet the poverty guidelines, another person can be used as the Sponsor. Do not confuse it with the I-864 where there are provisions for a Joint Sponsor.

So to clarify even though I am the petitioner that does not mean that I have to be the sponsor?

Correct. Manila is a good example of a consulate that states catagorically that they do not accept a Joint Sponsor for the K visa. Are they wrong in stating that or different than other consulates, no. If the petitioner does not meet the requirements, someone else can be the sponsor. More often then not the petitioner still completes his/her I-134 even though it doesn't meet the requirements. It has been suggested on this board plenty that if one was to submit only the Sponsors I-134, that the petitioners inadequate I-134 would not be required. To date nobody has reported this scenario as members tend to submit both instead of holding back with the petitioners inadequate I-134 unless asked for. There may be some consulates that may ask for the petitioners I-134, even if inadequate, considering that the petitioner will be required to submit the I-1864 later with the adjustment of status process. There is however NO joint sponsor.
