So guys, Paul and I are applying to the fiancee visa and we have got already a notification that NOA 2 is coming soon. But one problem has appeared: Our co-sponsor gave up! And now we have nobody to sign the paper for us.

My big doubts are: We already have an acceptable amount of money ($45,000), he works and gets a no expressive value (half time working and other studying), is it something that could guarantee us to have the visa approved? What would be a value that could show them I won't be a charge to the government? Do they give so much importance on the money, co-sponsors etc? or they give importance on I never have married before, no kids, I'm young and wishing work in the US to help my partner?

We are veeeeeery anxious and crazy about it!

Sorry about my bad English, I'm learning yet..

Thank you for reading an helping smile.png

It's always going to be important to look at current income and poverty guidelines. If he earns above the 125% guideline for his household count, you're good.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

The financials are a big factor for approval. However, you say he works and has $45k saved up? If his salary does not meet the income requirement, then his $45k most likely will make up for the shortfall in income, but need more information to answer with more certainty.

Well consulate of the rio de janeiro Accept for I 134 support under 100% for the interview, so if his tax income cover 100% its fine,(i experienced myself with 100%) but you guys need to find someone to co sponsor for AOS thats definitely 125%...You can also mail the consulate asking that question about the 100% poverty guidelines for I 134, Support , (ImmigrationRio@state.gov) Good Luck.. :D
