Today USCIS have look into my application for my lovely fiancee. I have an email stating they need request for evidence which i am was pretty upset. I have thought I have gave everything to them. At the moment I'm worry about the whole thing i sent everything between me and her, like love letter, Pictures me and her family, Phone call and video chat, Supporting her overseas etc.. There was one thing I might have miss which was her parents authorization, my fiancee is 17 years old and I am 22 years old. I have already ask there parents for the permission and they said yes. We have went to get a letter notarize from Dominican Republic. I didn't send that piece of information because it wasn't necessary. I really stressing out about this. Could anyone could give me advice please, I really want my fiancee here with me and I know that USCIS have there hands on my relationship at the moment. :(

You have to wait for the RFE letter they send you to know what they need. They spell it out for you on there. Then send back what ever they ask for, even if it is something you were sure you sent already. Usually the whole process adds one additional month.

Thanks! Just little stress about it, maybe its just something simple

What about letter intent of marry, G325-A forms (correct form), or proof you already met within 2 years? Usually people got an RFE because they forgot to include those things.

I know this RFE takes out of your sleep until you finally got the letter what kind RFE do they ask from you. But, if you still have the copy of your I-129F package, if I were you, I am going to check what I was missing and I will prepare what need I do for the next to save time.

I remember someone got an RFE here because he used wrong form. Instead used G-325A, he did not check and used G-325 form because those are almost identical. Also, there is a possibility they misplaced your documents and they asked you to send it again.

I can imagine how hard it is to wait, but you really need to. You can't do anything about it until you receive the RFE hardcopy and know exactly what it is they want. I will say, though, that I would not be surprised if it had something to do with her age. At 17, she is still considered a minor.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

I really hope that is the case, I have a document of there parents with signatures stating that they authorize me to bring her to the states.

You need to make sure the state that you are marrying her here allows underage marriages. But by then she may be 18 anyways, so it won't matter.

Yes it does, I'm actually a little more calm about it. I just hope they don't ask for more evidence which the only thing i have is ongoing conversation with her.... I sent everything it was like a whole book about me and her..... She will be turning 18 on May 22, but maybe they will accept it by January :). I will be having interview maybe on March but i just hope to God everything goes well. Thank you Guys!! I'm thinking surprise my Fiancee on December 31st celebrate it on new years with her!!!!

that's a wonderful idea surprising her! no better stress reliever. don't fret too much about the RFE. look on the bright side, at least you know your case was adjudicated & not lost somewhere underneath a huge pile of petitions. even an RFE is progress. best wishes!

Try not to worry! I think it is probably to do with her age. If you submit the letter from her parents, as well as everything they ask you for in the RFE notice (as the people above have mentioned, they will list the things you need to give them ^^) you will be fine! Me and my fiancé are both only 19, so we submitted a letter from his and my own parents just in case :P

Good luck! :)

I dont want to tell bad news, but i red a post like you.

It was a man that try to bring to usa a minor, she was 17 old and he was acussed of sexual abuse.

He got a notice saying that uscis couldnt continue with the petition because his fiance didnt have the age for get marry.

Maybe your case is diferent i hope so, because to the man that i am talking about the notice sayed that he was going to have problem with the justice.

I dont remember the name of the post.

Before you send the petition you should read about minors.

You that in usa minors are problem.
