Hello Everyone!

I just got to the U.S a few days ago and am looking for information about the next step I shall do, regarding the AOS.

On the step by step guide, it shows that I need to file a I-693 and a I-94. However, I don't think I need to have another medical exam regarding the I-693. On the other hand, I haven't filed an I-94 upon my entry to the U.S. I dont know where to find that form.

How can I be eligible to apply for a social security card?

THanks in advance

Look here about the I-94 Form, as it is apparently now automated: http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/cbp-begins-implementation-form-i-94-automation

You shouldn't have to get another medical. If they took your medical info in envelope at P.O.E., you should be fine. Did you happen to get an official copy of the vaccination record from the doctor for your own records? We didn't need anything for AOS, as it was already in their possession.

We went to apply for a social security card in Michigan within 10 days, but they hadn't put my husband's info in the system yet from P.O.E., so we went back later. To apply for Social Security Card: http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

When I got here this past august I asked the officer at the airport for my I-94.

He told me they don't print it anymore since it's automated, but he gave me a document with the instructions on how to look up your I-94.

You can find your I-94 at:

www.cbp.gov/I94

Just fill out the info and you can print it out to send along with the AOS paperwork. smile.png

Also, about the SSN-card:

you can find your nearest SSA-office on https://secure.ssa.gov/ICON/main.jsp

and what you need to bring is http://ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm

I suggest bringing these as documents for identification:

- your passport (+ your visa - in your passport)

- your birth certificate (copy)
