How long for a visa to be issued?

My fiancé had dropped his passport off on Sunday and now today the 21st the visa status online said updated but it still said AP. I am sure that his medical is expired, but they have not contacted him to get them updated. So, now we are just waiting to see if we will be delayed again. Good luck to everyone.

To be on safe side send an email to the clinic and schedule appointment since they give you medical appointment minimum two weeks after you contact them. just to be on safe side reserve appointment.

My fiance got his VISA yesterday!!!!! Alhamdullilah and my friends wife got her's today!!!! The cases are moving in Afghanistan and Insh'Allah it happens for all of you guys as well. Keeping you guys in my prayers that you guys get together with your loved ones soon!!!

They gave my fiance a 6 months visa. But I heard from several people that the sooner you come the better. Especially no more than 3 months. I want him to come as soon as possible you never know with the security situation in Afghanistan.
