Mksobe, I'm with you on everything you said....

It's not fair. As for the person who was adjudicated in 20 days, it was probably a DCF, anyway.

I want to be with my spouse. Enough is enough! Why are K1s and F2As getting preferential treatment over us????

Because Obama said?

I find it surprising that whenever someone talks about writing a petition to reduce I-130 wait times or questions the I-130 wait times, instead of associating and doing their bit ....lot of naysayers chime in by blaming K1's and F2A's and anyone they can think off...!! Or just say its normal..!!!

Ironically it degenrates to levels of discriminsation and personal slur on race, skin color etc..everything which this country doesnot stand for - reminds me of "Missisippi Burning" movie..!! People have to explain that they are of certain skin color or more to gain acceptance.... Sad ...!!

Bottom line, One has the right to ask that they get their due for the money they paid. Any organization where employees are paid money to serve be it public or private - needs a systematic process. Its not emotion its pure logic and when that doesnt work - it needs to be questioned..as to why their are no SLA's associated and why no transparency around something so important...!!

Because USCIS is inherently unfair and incredibly disorganized.

I still view our situation with USCIS as better than the Danish immigration system in which my husband wasn't even able to bring me in as a spouse.

How so?

And why do people have to be through a crisis to have their petition completed on time? Is this fair?

Didn't say it was fair. In fact I agree, the systen is broken. Now, thanks to Obama perhaps millions are in line for special visas if they have already snuck into the country illegally. We gotta serve all those poor illegals first... that's just the way it's working. What they call amnesty???? Fair? Heck no!

I know it doesn't impact directly on our wait times but currently 3 of the 5 most popular topics on VJ are about unwanted K1's. Very frustrating when you are stuck like we are!

I am so sorry for those of you waiting unfair amounts of time for NOA2. I waited 7 months for mine and it was a really hard wait. I've often wondered if these petitions don't work, if a group of I-130 filers living in a similar area could contact their local news station to get this the attention it deserves. I don't think most people really understand what we go through being away from our spouses for such a long period of time. I know for sure that friends and acquaintances are usually shocked when I tell them our story and that it takes over a year to bring my husband here. Just a thought.

Thoughts and prayers to you all! Hoping this nonsense gets better :/

While I applaud the efforts of the committee aside from one or two of your more overzealous folks as I love a good rabble rouse, I fear that it won't really have any effect, and your only recourse is to wait for the Great Magnet to swing back in the direction of I-130s, which I speculate will happen some months from now.

The only thing they seem to be fast at processing is our payments! Will the "immigration is a privilege not a right" brigade please stop repeating this tired fact we are all aware of it. We are not demanding to be approved, we just want our applications to be adjudicated in a manner that doesn't leave us apart from our spouses for over a yea

(The only thing they seem to be fast at processing is our payments!) Sorry but I had to laugh, it is true that they were quick but that was also sad too because if they can be that fast...they could be a tad faster with the other parts.

My wife's country allows spouses to be in the same country during their process and I don't see why cannot the USA do the same. If she want to be illegal, we wouldn't be doing all this hassle.

I'm about to send in my paperwork, waiting for a couple more documents to arrive from Bosnia that my husband sent me,so I haven't even started the process yet but reading all your stories really scares me... :(
