Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.

you can check it on the site.. they have updated this info cus i remember 8 months ago it was required according to the website..

yay we dont have to go through a hassle to get a PCC here.. Trust me all they do is take bribes ,annoy people and issue one..

NVC doesn't require PCC from Pakistan anymore. However, embassies and consulates in Pakistan are still asking for PCC

NVC collects documents for consular processing means to forward consulates . This change was made in july 2013 on th dept of state website and it wont be required because new interview letter says PCC from Pakistan is unobtainable means unavailable so they know we can not get them even if the CO asks for it ..I have read people posts here and it is not required anymore since it is not avaiable.. we can attach the printed page on the site and show the CO. it is unobtainable. there have been old AP cases in which they would have asked for new PCC . embassy would have but new cases are not asked for it

if you read the new packet 3.5 from the embassy/consulate (islamabad) which i emailed the embassy for 2 weeks ago, it says you dont need it for pakistan/india anymore. so they are following whats stated on the state dept site now too.

The "unobtainable" part of your post is not entirely true. It is still being made so it's not like it's impossible to get a PCC made now. And honestly, I would suggest to get it made it takes like 2 weeks but better to get it done earlier you never know what Islamabad embassy asks for at the last minute.

lets wait for the instruction package and see.. we dont need to waste our time in getting that PCC . I have read threads of new approved/interviewed couples. they have been instructed not to bring by consulate and not asked at interview. so this is pretty good and confirmed..
