Hi all,

Newbie here but we have been following this very helpful forum from the moment we sent our petition last June 19, 2013 up until the interview has been approved last Oct 29, 2013.

But now I am totally confuse because i havent seen a status on CEAC site same as ours. After the interview the US consul told me it was approved. And on the last window the guy told me to wait for them to contact me. I clarified about the status he said it was approved. No 221g or anything just wait.

CEAC status after the interview.

Oct 29 -AP

Nov 4 - Ready open case status

Nov 8 - AP

Nov 15 - Ready open case status

Does anyone have the same experience? ?

Just about everyone gets this. Based on the discussions I had with the case officer it was:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.
