Guys this is from the girl I know. K1 APPROVED BUT PETITIONER CUT HER OFF!

"My k1 was approved last July and have received the packet from Manila Embassy

but the problem is my fiance give up and broke up with me for no apparent

reason and even blocked me on facebook. He told me he is done.

Of coursre, it hurts so much but I have to move on.

I contacted USEM that our relationship did not work out and that I would like to cancel the petition.

I was told that it has TO be my F(petitioner) need to contact USCIS and cancel the approved k1 petition.

The problem I can't get a hold of my Ex as he even blocked me on yahoo and skype messenger.

I tried emailing him with no success.

Will this hurt my future petition? ~Anonymous

Thanks.

Is this person's fiance in the Navy? I think I've seen her post this elsewhere. Anyhow, I agree with Celebes. You really have no choice but to have the USC cancel the petition. We cannot say if it will hurt her future petition(s), but there is a possibility to get a 221g because of multiple petitions if this one is left uncancelled. Actually, there was a girl that had this exact problem yesterday at my interview. So yes, it could affect future petitions.

Thanks.

If she has her visa and the DO NOT OPEN envelope, then she needs to word things differently when talking to the embassy as she has moved past the petition stage of the process and she is wanting to cancel her (actual) visa... that she can do as it is HER visa.

She should email the embassy regarding this, along with calling. And keep a copy of the email for future records.

If she has a visa she should get it cancelled. If it is still at the petition state email the embassy and tell them what happened. They will tell you the same thing in email that the petitioner must cancel it. Keep copies of both emails. If you have another petition this will help prove you tried to terminate the first process correctly.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

My question is, why are you curious about future petitions? Are you planning on trying to find another American to court you? The only question should really be is how to cancel it, a future petition at this point is unecessary to really know about as you could find a fellow filipino to love and wish to remain home. Sorry if I am looking at this the wrong way, but it just appeared to me that way.

I agree. The way the OP is stating the situation makes me question her motives. Same thing goes for the person linked in the second post.

I wonder if K1 cancelations send off red flags, because why would two people break-up in the middle of this process? Doesn't sound like love to me at all. Just my opinion.
