Yippee!! We sent in the AOS 1-485, etc via Fed-ex today for my wife's AOS (came on K-1 Visa to US in Nov 2011).

Now what I am unsure how to do... address change.

Details.

In 4/2011 when I petitioned for my fiancé I lived at address A.

My fiancé arrived to US in Nov 2011.

We moved in July 2012 to Address B. I do not "think" I submitted an address change. I went onto the website to do it a few times and I always got stumped by the first question... "Have any pending or recently approved applications or petitions?" And Receipt #? I assume the answer is "No," because she was issued the K-1 visa, came to the US, married in the 90 day time frame, and we never filed AOS. So there are no receipt #'s to my knowledge. On the other hand, is the K-1 visa she came on considered a "recently approved application or petition?"

We just moved again in Aug 2013. I would like to submit an address change... but same stupid question. If I answer yes, it wants a receipt #. Regardless if I answer yes or no, it wants Old and New Address. Since I don't remember if I updated the address after we moved in July 2012, I don't know what to put for address as "Old Address."

Like I mentioned in the first sentence. We overnighted via FedEx the AOS I-485 packet today and it will arrive by 10:30am. I put our new address, effective Aug 2013 on all paperwork. I'd like to do a change of address form online tonight, but I just don't know what to put as "Old address" and I don't know if I'm supposed to answer the question about "recently approved applications or petitions" as Yes or No. Lastly, I don't have any sort of receipt #, correct?

Thanks for the help

If you have put the new address on the forms submitted for AOS then there is no need to do an online address change. USCIS will use the address you put on the forms. They only need to be notified of a change of address when you have an application pending with them.

if you fiance arrived to the US in Nov 2011 and you waited till now to do AOS there is a possiblity that you could get denied and have to file I-130, I-485 as you have went 2 years past the date of arrival.

One question I do have, is your medical expired? If so and you sent all the medical info from 2 years ago they will probably send an RFE if it is accepted. You will most likely need to get a new medical if not already done so. With my above comment, this is from other forums saying that other members have been denied adjusting from K-1 if going over 2 years. Hope this helps.

I went ahead and did an address change late last night. I used the original address that I put on the K1 sponsor forms, thinking that's the safest method.

We beat the 2 year mark, she arrived Nov 29, 2011.

We had a 2nd medical done in the US on Nov 14/16. I.e. On the I-693 (copy the civil surgeon gave us) there are 2 dates. Nov 14, 2012 is the the date we went for our visit and the date my wife signed the form. The civil surgeon completed her work and signed it Nov 16, 2012. The FedEx package with our AOS paperwork arrived Chicago lockbox today, Nov 15, 2013 at 10:30am so I guess we will see if I get an RFE. I assume the I-797 will have a date past the one year mark of the last medical being that I doubt it gets dated todays date. No big deal if it's just an RFE. We can just go back where we went Nov 2012 and do another one. It only cost like $120.

Thanks!
