How to actually get an Interview in London? K1

My fiance has filled out the DS 160 online, and has booked his medical for Nov. 29. Is that all we have to do for the moment? He has his police cert. I am planning to fly to London to attend the interview with him, bringing along all of our evidence, and am trying to make sure that after the medical, the Embassy receives the results and then mails him a letter with an appointment date? Is there anything aside from the DS160 and medical that needs to be done to get an appointment? Thanks!

So long as you've done all the parts they've asked you to do, all you can do is wait. They schedule the interview for you when they get the last bit of info on you, be that your forms or medical results (which take about 4 working days to arrive at the embassy). Although they don't necessarily act on that day.

Their twitter account was quoting about 6 weeks to get an interview date out to people from then, but it's often worth checking with DoS once a week, as people have found they don't always get the appointment letter.

Also, if you weren't already going on a planned trip, and are just flying there to attend the interview, save the money. I believe London only talks to the beneficiary, and if you're going you'll need to be added to the list of people allowed inside the embassy in advance.
