Travel question after arrival

Hey all,

So, my fiance arrived in the US in Tuesday night through San Francisco. And, while the trip was a long one, she's no worse for the wear. Obviously, super excited to have her here.

Anyway, my question is, once we apply for AP and AOS and she gets AP and/or her conditional green card, she'll obviously still have a Chinese passport and travel with the GC and Chinese passport.

Will she still be required to apply for a visa to enter countries that required Chinese to obtain a visa? Or will she be able to travel like a US Citizen for all intents and purposes? What about returning to China? I'm guessing on a Chinese passport, no visa required even if you're a resident of the US?

As she is still a Chinese citizen and is traveling as such she needs to get visas as required by any other chinese citizen, which of course means, no visa for China

Not entirely true. Most Countries in the Caribbean like Jamaica and Canada up north she will not need a visa as she has a GC.

She gets free entry into Mexico and Canada with the green card

but for other places she needs a visa in her china passport.

just a followup -

Sam did mention some of the Islands won't need anything more than a green card and passport. That's True ! Though, take a look at each island 'system', for what's what.

For any country in Europe, best to get a Schengen visa (sorry for the mis-spelling), then can traverse the borders in the EU without any fuss.
