I'm at a loss since lots of things are "lost in translatation."

I understand that it takes 2-3 weeks to get a Police Clearance Certificate from the Thailand Police but according to my fiance I need a whole lot of documents to send her for just the police certificate like:

- Copy of my US passport.

- Copy of my full 129f petition

- Copy of my marriage certificates in the past

- Copy of my NY drivers licence

- Copy of letter stating intent to marry fiance

Is this all true or what the website has said so far is true like all she needs is:

- Thai ID card (1 copy)

- Thai Passport (1 copy of the bio page)

- Thai Registration (showing legal residence)

- Letter from the embassy (packet 3 letter) attesting to background police check required by the embassy with case number.

- 100 baht.

Please guide me.. tell me what all you had to send your fiance with to the Royal Thai Police Clearance Center with.

You don't need all of that for the police check.

They will ask for a copy of your passport, although it is not supposed to be required. The rest of the information you thought you needed about yourself is not needed.

Calling Doctor Ning.............. Calling doctor Ning.

The police certificate is about the beneficiary NOT the petitioner. You should not need to produce anything. HOWEVER......................... experiences vary greatly at the Thai cop shop. Ning seems to have the most reliable and current info on this. She should be stopping by at some point. If not, PM her.
