Congratulations.

I felt the very same way when it was approved in 33 days. I kept thinking is this right? I looked at waiting times at USCIS and it said up to 5 months, but then I got the hard copy of the NOA2 and realised it was true. It took around 10 days to be sent off to the NVC, they sent it on the 7th of November. Don't know if they have received it with a holiday this Monday. I don't know how long it will be at NVC either, but I think I should hear from the consulate by the end of this month. So we are around the same journey time! Next it's the form filling and apparently the DS160 as forms seemed to have changed from around 7th of October, not to mention the thorough medical, police check, immunisation records etc!! Yahoo!! lol. Any way hope you get notice from the NVC sooner rather than later.

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Yes, it's possible. Please be thankful you got approved so fast. People sending in petitions for their spouses are waiting an average of 9-11 months for approval right now. That's just for the approval of their petition. Not for the NVC or the consulate stage. It's hell on earth for us.

yeah man, you flew that process. Big o'le Texas congrats to you.

Now comes the hard part. Transfering from CSC to NVC. This is taking about 7 to 8 weeks. You will have to wait for that to complete.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

You will do fine if you follow the expert advice of this site, keep your time line filled in.,.,and keep us informed..., and you are very lucky, took 186 days for our NOA 2.,.,and less than a week in NVC.,.,,you may well be in NVC for months, or at least weeks.,.,then the medical, interview.,.,,.you are doing great, we will be there for you!

Work extensively on your documentation.....,NOW!!!

I have looked at the flowchart, and step 4 NOA2 says that it should be 5 months processing time, All I'm asking is it possible to get the NOA2 within a month Not if its complete.

Don't worry, someone got approval only in 15 days. So congrats and prepare for K-1 visa application.

IF they can approve a K-1 in 2 weeks, why is processing a CR1 in 5 months such a huge ordeal??? It is a joke... I completely agree

Yes! Some people are that lucky. The fastest I have seen a petition approval was 15 days. Unfortunately, that specific visa was denied at the interview stage, but the initial approval was super fast.

Best wishes in the rest of the process!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.
