Hi,

I'm flying out tomorrow, and I've been reading about the above form and the new changes to it. Is this something I have to fill out online before I leave, or is it something I have to do on the plane? Don't want to miss any forms that could potentially stop me entering!

Thanks

I am no help on this issue, from the old school a couple of years ago. While dating my wife, she came here with a tourist visa, had to show her return ticket, and depending on the POE officer, would either staple that I-94 in her passport book and date it exactly on her return trip date or give her a couple of extra days. Just had to make darn sure she was on the plane before that I-94 expired or would be in deep trouble.

When I visited her in her home country, no visa, was told could stay for 90 days, and the only thing to verify that was the stamp in my US passport. But their ink pad was so dry, couldn't even read it.

In our most recent trips, don't even get a return ticket anymore, just a boarding pass, but she is a US citizen now and has a US passport. But because her place of birth is in her home country by our DOS, she also has to maintain her citizenship in her home country and pay a fortune for her home countries passport.

Would help others if they know the latest protocol if you told your immigration status and where you are flying from and to where. If coming to the USA, with a foreign passport and with a visa if required depending on which country, think they do this electronically now at the POE. See you are from the UK, something about a visa waver program you should look into.
