I was wondering for the Dominican Republic petioners how long was the turn around for a responce from the embassy after u emailed them and what is the time frame for interviews to be scheduled after leaving NVC?

i received an email right away. but they are overwhelmed with cases so maybe that is why they have not returned... you could always call NVC here and they could tell you if there is a date set. I got my date from NVC first

then you'll be connected to visa specialist and they will tell you

I second that!!! DOS is who's best to contact. They are pretty nice when you call and will have your appointment date as soon as it's scheduled. No need to wait for a response and you can call everyday and waiting times are no more than 2 minutes. My interview was scheduled on 10/11/13 and that same morning at 9am I called and DOS provided me with my appt date. The rep literally told me you were just assigned your interview!

I hope I get my interview date soon too. I email the embassy and they keep saying to wait 30 days before contacting them. I might just start calling DOS like you guys suggest.

I already received a letter to fill out DS 160 and I was going to but it asks for a picture of my fiance so I guess he'll have to find a way to do it in DR.
