Had our biometrics today in San Marcos (suburb of San Diego) ... extremely easy and not crowded at all, we were one of only 3 couples there the whole time, and it only took about 15 minutes.

I'm curious when we'll know whether we're going to have an interview or not. I've heard something about if your online status changes to "testing and interview" then an interview letter should follow, but if status doesn't change, then it'll just be a long wait with no interview? Not sure if that's really 100%, but does anyone know for sure?

Adjusting from a TN through my USC wife after getting married in October.

Filed Nov 20th concurrent with I-130, 131, 485, and 765.

Got the document for the biometrics appointment on Dec. 5 for a Dec 19th appointment. I walked in Dec 6th and got them done in 20 minutes.

I'm curious when we'll know whether we're going to have an interview or not. I've heard something about if your online status changes to "testing and interview" then an interview letter should follow, but if status doesn't change, then it'll just be a long wait with no interview? I just got the email notification last night that we're now in the queue for "Testing & Interview" on the I-485 (this is less than 30 days after filing). However, this just means we're in line for them to schedule a date, and then once they've scheduled a date we'd get a letter informing us when that date is. I dont expect the actual interview date to be before Feb 28th given a filing on Nov 20th...

Online status for our I-485 changed to "testing and interview" on Christmas Eve, so that's good I think ... I kinda think that means we WILL have an interview and not get the interview waiver letter? But I could be wrong, I still don't quite understand who gets interviewed and who doesn't.

EAD and AP still sitting in initial review, even after biometrics ... would hope to see those updated but I guess they may never be, we might just get the card in late January, based on other timelines? Well, at least the GC one is being updated!

Good luck everyone!

I did an "early walk in" for Biometrics on December 6th (appointment was Dec 19th). Case was updated to "Testing and Interview" 2 weeks later (around the 17th), and then formal interview date received (electronically) on Jan 3rd.

So given the Christmas Holidays, the NBC should move you on to Testing and Interview by Mid January (or late next week).

That being said YMMV. So far we've been very fast, but others have gotten "stuck in traffic". Best of luck!

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Germany
Timeline

I did an "early walk in" for Biometrics on December 6th (appointment was Dec 19th). Case was updated to "Testing and Interview" 2 weeks later (around the 17th), and then formal interview date received (electronically) on Jan 3rd.

So given the Christmas Holidays, the NBC should move you on to Testing and Interview by Mid January (or late next week).

That being said YMMV. So far we've been very fast, but others have gotten "stuck in traffic". Best of luck!

thank you :) I really hope we are as lucky as y'all were. I really want to go back to school, I'm so bored, it's frustrating...
